thanks i just found it in the sticky i will try it yes i am running street tires & a open rear end comming out slow so i dont spin the tires

they come stock with them with a 3speed 727

no i have a one ton dully with a Dana 80 & 3.07 gears Also have a another Dana 80 with 3.54 gears the 3.07 gear will not fit in the 3.54 housing believe me i tried

UMM OK Your truck came stock with a Dana 80??? If so you have one rare piece of equipment there. I would stop driving it immediately and put it in a temperature controlled moisture sealed container and never touch it again. But thats just me

3.07 is not a dana 80 ratio. what you have is actually a dana 71 with 3.07 gears that is what that truck had from the factory. The 80 wasnt used till 1994 when they changed body styles. Some one may have swapped a 80 in your truck but then it cannot have 3.07 ratio.

Ive made a grave error I Just checked all 3 of my rear ends & you are right it is a dana 71 I not sure what I was thinking there but thanks for straighting me up but I do have a spare set of 3.07 the ring gear is approx 10.3/8 in diamter
