Which Turbo????????
Hello all,
I have the option of experimenting with a few different turbos on my truck. The outfit I work for has over 100 pieces of equipment with 4BT and 6BT industrial engines so we have a few turbos laying around. I have the option of putting a 16cm housing off an H1C on the original turbo on the truck or a HX30W which I believe is a 12 cm housing.
The truck is a 92 d250 with a nv4500 5spd. I have ordered up and old smokey pin and a 3200 spring and a 13" south bend clutch.. The truck will be a daily driver not looking for crazy power, just some more pep.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Got the con-o clutch. Ordered the fuel pin off e-bay. Said it was the original old smokey pin part # PPVE-40.
On another note I did the head gasket in the old dodge today and after 450,000 km's there is still a pile of crosshatch on the cylinder walls and no ridge at the top of ring travel. Hard to beat a CUMMINS.
