Truck wont turn over

Truck wont turn over

well my 92 i sold wont turn over now. the fuse block fell from under the dash and then he smelt smoke he said. everything works(lights etc... even when you turn teh key to start the heater will work and everything but he said the wait to start light doesnt come on and when he goes to crank it over nothing happens..

any ideas???

What do you mean the fuse block just fell out? The wires burnt off?

I'd check the wires on the bulkhead connector on the firewall. I forget what wires do what but I know when I lost my headlights and signal lights, it was all powered to the cab by one wire. There were a couple other wires that got scored as well but it wasn't a real big deal. Wiring is a rats nest and basically trial and error.

jump the starter ,see if it will go . the wait to start light should not come on in this weather its to warm also check the fuseable links .could be something unrelated .

PERFECT. he called me late last ngiht to tell me he got it going. he is new to diesels and i had just givin him all the manuals for it as well(thanks rebal) turns out it was a fuseable link somewhere.
