Truck will crank and run for a little while or not at all
The fusible links are undersized wires in a flame proof insulation. They act as slow blow fuses.
The duck foot is a splice of 5 of said links to one heavy wire that goes to the battery. The green one to the alternator is the only one that's too big for that. There's bolt down fuses that go that high.
Quick repair would be an inline maxi-fuse holder from the conductor past the fusible link directly to the battery, with the proper size maxi-fuse in it.
Finesse repair would be a maxi-fuse distribution block with 5 or 6 positions wired to replace the fusible link system.
