transmission swap advise

I am looking at getting rid of the 3 speed trans in my 1989 w250, I am considering swapping for a 47rh out of a 95. has anyone here done this?

you need the motor plate off the second gen truck also and then you will have to wire up lock up and Over Drive switches .
