Transmission sounds funny in reverse.
The noise started the other morning. Start the truck put the transmission in reverse with foot on brake as usual. There seems to be a high pitched whin but reverse works just fine. This noise seems to occure when the tranny is cold. All the other gears work just fine no noise. The tranny is serviced regulary, fresh fluid and filter and never a problem of any kind till now.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Dave Thanks for the reply. The fluid level is fine. I let it idel in neutral this am for a couple of minutes and there was no noise when I put in reverse.
I'm going to have it serviced in the next couple of days anyway.
I hope this is not the first indication of the tranny going bad.

It`s probably something along these lines

I had a 1997 gas truck that did this, as well as my current 93, only does it in rev and only for about 20 seconds or so...I don`t worry about it.
