Trans cooler hooked up to radiator

Guys i was wondering if i should disconnect my trans lines that run to my radiator and just put them into my auxillary trans cooler? would this be a good idea or bad idea? im from wisconsin, but i think having it hooked up (radiator to cooler to trans) it may be generating to much heat, and yes i know i should get a trans gauge thanks guys

The only reason to run it through the rad. is for winter operation, it can actually get too cold.
If you don't drive it the winter, I wouldn't worry about it.
