Well i know that but isn't there like 2 wires on top of the tranny you can hook up to a switch and it will like stay in overdrive or something like that?

Overdrive is not lock up. It's a gear that spins the driveshaft faster than 1:1

If your tranny is no shifting into OD normally, first try cleaning the TPS which is located on top of the injector pump with 3 wires going into it (black, greyish, and orangish). Spray the TPS with contact cleaner (when taken off) and work it back and forth.

If this isn't working, and the tests in the sticky don't work, you can use a LINEAR (not the audio, logarithmic type) 5k ohm potentiometer. Hold the Potentiometer (pot) upside down so the rod is facing the ground. Line up the wires with the TPS on the injection pump and wire it up just that way. Send long wires to the cab and mount it there so you can play with shift settings on the fly.

Ok i knew these trannies weren't lockups, but there should be some wires in a plug on the tranny which controlls OD, i don't know what to do with the wires, to control when it goes into OD.

The sticky has everything you need to get your tranny up to snuff:

TPS adjustment:

Use a 3.0 liter V6 TPS instead of the $200 CTD TPS:

two wires are poking up at the floor board. One is a blue wire which will be towards the rear of the truck and the front wire is a orange wire with a yen tracer. This will be the wire u ground out if u want to lock it in overdrive.
