http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0555&langId=-1
I was wondering if this thing would be any good. i know it is not the best but it is cheaper and i am going broke. College is takin all of my truck money
. I was hoping to get a DTT but money is getting tight and the converter is slipping. SO any input on this would be great.

Suncoast TC's were only $400.00 last I looked. (I think...)
Nevermind, they're asking $650.00 now... I swear that when I called they said $400, maybe they're trying to unload a bunch of 727 TC's? I guess I should have pounced on that one...
DTT asks $750.00...
And ATS had one as well, but if I recall it was a lot more than the other two...

Can't help on the TCI converter, but I'm happy with my Hughes converter. It's available from Summit for $275.

I have never heard anything about the TCI diesel converters, but a lot of people have not been real happy with their gasser converters. From what I here on the gasser ones the stall speeds are sometimes way off.
Seems i have heard decent stuff about the TCI converters... I love the stall of my Goerend. I paid $650 flat for it. I need a better VB now though as it slips a little, and i need more line pressure, but Dave said i have a 100k mile warranty on it no matter what; so i am good for a long while anyway's,a nd if i have the money if it ever goes out, i will probably upgrade to a triple disc. Good luck with whatever you decide, and let us know how it goes.

TCI converters!!
I bought one, for a 95 dodge/Cummins back about 97.
It was not fully machined and tore up the seal. I called, was told to send it back for them to see. Then sent a new one at my cost both ways. I was ****** off. Called and talked to them. They finally hung up on me.
3 months later it was slipping just like the stock one did.
It was a little tighter than stock, but no company should stay in business with customer dis-service like that.
I paid a shop to change it out twice. I could of bought a top notch DTT for about the same money. ( which I did later)!!!
Over at the Dodge cat sites they call TCI trash can installs.
Don't take the chance.

I have been running one for almost three years now (around 55-60,000 mi). With a bombed engine, it stalls a little higher than I think would be ideal, but I don't think you will find a better convertor for the money. Be sure to replace your flexplate while you're in there, the 1st gen ones are notoriously weak. I am running one from a 96 Cummins application.
Goerend Brothers! That's who I forgot!

Call them for pricing... (563) 778-2719 is the number listed on their website.
I have found nothing negative about them on the Internet, and I'm thinking that they're the company that had a TC available for $400. You'd have to ask them, I may very well be mistaking...
