Question Torque Converter Experience

I am getting ready to purchase a Tq by the end of the week to get my truck back on the road and have a couple of questions for all who have replaced there's. I was looking at the Hughes but they say "up to 400hp" the only thing that concerns me with that is I want to do more upgrades down the road for higher hp. I am also looking a Georend which seems to be what most guys are going with and I am also checking into BD power converters.
My question to all of you is what make do you use and how is it working and also how much was it.

Thanks

I have the Hughes XFM15. It works pretty *OK*. It's way better than stock. It's what I could afford when I needed one. I've not been on a Dyno, but I'd guess I'm pushing 250hp. Towing my fifth wheel I feel the TQ falls off a bit at the very edge of my top end. Pulling the passes here in Colorado things tend to get a little toasty towards the top. I feel the Hughes is the best bang for the buck, but if you're planning big HP upgrades, probably not the the unit for you.

Well I just got a real good price on a BD converter. Has anyone had any dealings with the non lock-up converters and if so is it good or bad.

Thanks

Goerend is the way to go, what i heard. Dave will talk to you on the phonen personally and they put a lifetime warranty on some of their converters. CAll em up and ask for a 518 converter and even if its not on the webiste doesnt mean they dont have it.
