Ya i was the same way, took me several years tomuster up the courage to buy one.
originaly i was going to by it for my cuda so it would be a lot more fun on the street with 4:56!!!
but after driving my diesel for a year with 4:10.....the GV had to go in to my truck first!
The GM slip yok isn't that big of a deal, you will be trading in the slip yok in on a better one and paying the diff.
a fue dollars for a piese of mind.
I rekon it goes something like this: I call Gear Vendors and ask a simple question:
(Me) "Hello, yes, I'm interested in one of your OD units. Do you have one for a '91 Dodge 4x4 with the NP205 behind a Cummins diesel?"
They (GV) have three possible answers, and these would be my responses, as I think would be appropriate"
1) (GV) "Yes." (Me) "So that's a bolt-in conversion with all the appropriately sized U-joints, complete, correct?" (GV) "Well not exactly, but you can get the bigger parts from..." (Me) "OK thanks, bye."
2) (GV) "No, our NP205 kit comes with a smaller 1310 GM yoke, but..." (Me) OK, well if you can't include the correct parts for my application I think I'll have to pass."
3) (GV) "Maybe. Our NP205 kit comes with a smaller 1310 GM yoke, but we can special order it for you and supply the correct matched 1410 joint yoke or a special 1310 joint guaranteed to be as strong or stronger than your stock 1410." (Me) "Great - you got a deal."

I have to say that the 1310 does look pretty stout on the GV yoke....
