91% torque too much for the ctd??
the guy was trying to talk me into an 89% instead of the 91% torque the only issue i forsee is i hope i dont have too bad turbo lag with weight behind when taking off other wise in my opinion the closer to 100% fluid coupling the more efficient and faster your truck is, am i right???

If your truck can't get enough boost, it won't fuel. It takes RPM to make boost. It depends on how bombed your truck is whether a 91% would be too tight. I drove a 24v with a 89% and about 450HP and it felt tight to me! I was told by the DTT guys to go with an 89% tow instead of a 91% as I originally thought. The 89% is still tight, but it allows just a little bit more RPM on launch so you get the boost you need, but really holds on once the fuel kicks in. This is even more important with a 3rd gen, but not to say 91% won't work... I think either one is a 100000% improvement over stock, so let us know how you like it either way.

My truck is a go-fast toy and I really don't tow much of anything (weight just slows me down! ) Mine is 89% equivalent and I wish it was tighter. Still a pretty significant difference between locked and unlocked. A 91% would be much better for me. If you tow a lot, you may not like it.....smoke level will go up (if your bombed). There may be a 91% Suncoast Triple Disk in my future.

installed the torque tonight and what a difference it made, feels like it shifts so fast though now before it take longer to shift , other wise it stalls about 1600rpm and feels good no lag from a stop or nothing, we will see on fri night at track.

any way heres the results of the tcs torque, went fron 14.4 sec. 1/4 mile to 13.7
sec 1/4 mile, also went from 2.1sec 60ft to 1.8sec 60ft but holy sh.. harsh when you spin all 4 tires in 4x4 on take off , this cant be good for the drivetrain any way the torque worked awesome and really puts the power to the ground.

Hey Lightning, Did you do the install of the shift kit and TC yourself. Is the rest of our trans stock? Did you run 13.7 with the stock turbo? Sorry for so many questions but what is a TCS TC? Who makes it?
