Any one know the correct way to do it?

After a spring install? You mark where you where before removal and usually it's 2 notches back from that w the 366 spring. You're truck will idle at about 1200 and you will need to re-index the shaft to bring her down to around 850. If you go too much it will not start unless you give it pedal. Check the sticky for info.
