Throttle related problems on 93

First, my throttle has begun to only go half way down. Nothing is obstructing the pedal, and the heim joint linkage is adjusted as short as it will get.
Second, my cruise control is VERY erratic - comes on when it shouldn't and doesn't come on when it should. I removed clockspring, cleaned it and tested it and it tests perfect.
Third, my idle is too high even with the heim joint linkage removed. It was perfect ajnd then one day it was too high. I have to put it in neutral at traffic lights.
Arghhh... my 71 year old husband has to use this truck on multiple 1200 mile trips for the next few months!

#2 could be a bad set/coast switch.

That's what I thought, but I installed a new set/coast switch and got no improvement. Maybe the wires in the steering column?

Thanks, but it had been running fine since the pump rebuild and nothing has been disassembled since then.
