Just for future reverence the 89 and 90 (??) use a different cable then the later 91-93 trucks. The way the cable attaches through the firewall is what is the main difference.

I might be off by a year either way....have not paid attention to this on enough trucks to say for certainty. I know for sure that my 89 cable was different then the 93 one for sure.

Seen any twisters yet? Hail is always fun. I hope you have a car port to park the truck under. Are you tired of green yet?

I was thinking along the lines of Eswins question. Big, baseball size hail yet? Destroys of,dodges, and just about anything else in its path. Watched a herd of cows. Get pummeled on the news the other day.

I was working on my 58 chevy outside when a hailstone hit the hood I was under. I came out ready to fight and then I saw the other hailstones on the ground and decided to go inside. Later on we made the Guinness book of records at that time.

Coffeyville, KS - Official Website - Hailstone

The record wasn't broken until 2003.

Not only does hail destroy cars and fields of crops it kills people.

IN 2007 the trailer I was in got hit by hail and rain which broke windows and destroyed my awning. About 1/3 of the town was flooded when the levee broke.

Earthquakes aren't so bad. Unless the house falls on you.

Hey all ,,got a cable from "Oliver ",,fits ,,to get me by ,,I pulled a brake cable off one of our old bike's pulled my broke cable out,,took the end off where it snaps on at the IP,drilled a 1/8" hole just behind the square nut part where it's squeezed together,,twisted the old piece of cable out . Pushed the bike cable up thru my old housing from the accelerator ( the bike cable has a lead ball on one end that fits in the accelerator hole) out thru the 1/8" hole I drilled ,,put 2 spade crimps on ,,cut cable off 1/2" past crimps,. It'll do till I can put the newer one on.

coffee's ready,,,whosdunit.
