Thoughts on fuel heater
I pulled mine out. It's another place to develop air leaks.
There is a good bit of fuel between the heater and the IP/engine that never gets heated if the heater is working...
I was reading this thread and it got me worrying. Someone said diesel starts to gel at 20 and its been around that lately

so you can just pull it out? The fuel filter stud? will go all the way in?

I got some bad fuel one time and got stranded in -40 degree windchill weather. This was will the fuel heater and I had white power service in the fuel. Now I only buy fuel at big rig truck stops during the winter. You don't see them stranded too often in cold snaps. If you are going to be in any cold weather areas my advice is get a fuel heater.
