thinking- air flow
Banks, isn't it, claims that by putting that twin tube air horn on, you can lower EGT on the front and rear cylinder? I got to thinking. There is lot of room on top of the manifold cover on my truck. Couldn't I just drill and tap a couple holes and run, say, 1 1/4 inch pipe up toward the crossover tube, then drill and tap that to accept a couple, oh, 45 degree fittings, and connect them with silicone boots, and accomplish the same thing?

There's a bunch of folks who would dispute anything Banks claims though I suspect there's more to it than hurt fanboy feelings.
A number of folks have made variants of the intake feed-horn all in the efforts to even-out the airflow.
The trick theses days is to mill off the cast intake log so as to allow full access to the intake runners for porting, then bolt a high-dollar, custom made intake log in its place.
Do a search and you'll find a lot of stuff.

Sounds kind of like "spoolaid" for the commonrail's.

Something like that. But going into the ends of the manifold cover. Since I got no intercooler, it would probably work better that way, less bends.
