Are they suppossed to look like this??
haha, already know the answer...
started having a stiff pedal and poor stopping power, and had replaced the front pads a few weeks ago..
pulled the rear wheels and found this mess.
broken return sprint had apearantly knocked the e-brake cable loose and somehow tore the seal..no oil leaking out of the drum however, which I find strange...
Also, someone had asked about how the airbags sat behind the wheel?

BTW Brake shoe dust will soak up a lot of oil so it dosen't lerak out the drum.

ok, thought I had fixed all this, but I guess not...
this evening, i smelled hot brakes and the drum to this wheel was burning to the touch!
I replaced everything but the drum itself and the wheel cylinder, so not sure whats up.
It was dark, so i got a new project for in the morning ....pull it all back apart and see why its adjusting itself up too tight......and hoping it hasnt ruined the new seal........

Well, parking brake cable wasnt releasing all the way, and was holding the shoes against the drum just enough to heat things up.. probably why the seal went out in the first place.
got it disconnected until I get a replacement cable..
