Temo Gauge for Getrag

I've been reading a lot of threads here with temp gauges in a Getrag, this is something I wanted to do years ago but didnt really know how. Are there any threads here on how to do this ? Where to put the probe was my main concern, what temp range the gauge would need is the only other on I can think of.

I put a tee fitting on the filler hole so I can have the probe and still be able to overfill it by one quart. I bought just a regular water temp gauge that reads to 100-280f. If you tow a lot its good to have but just cruising around it takes over an hour to start registering unless its really hot outside. The highest I got mine is 275 but it was 100+ that day and I was grossing 20k.

These have both a drain plug and a port to put a sender in, a tad pricey, but also adds 3 quarts of cooling power to the rag and solves the how to add extra oil question. I have them, easy install on the pto openings...Mark
