Tailgate Mechanism

Didn't want to hijack the other tailgate thread, but my tailgate handle has been messed up for quite a while, have to jam my hand up in there to pull over in one of the rods and then turn my hand over and pull down on one of the levers for the other side. I'm sick of it!
Can I get a replacement handle, and how hard are they to change out?

easy a couple screws, theres a small lever by each loch on the ends , just pull em up it, it will open right up.

It might be something as simple as a broken clip. The handle uses plastic clips to keep the rods attached. One of mine broke a few months ago, and I was able to pick up a replacement at Auto Zone (the red-packaged "Help" stuff). It was a minor PITA to change out, but cost less than $5 to fix.

Yeah, it's a broken clip or possibly a bent part. Pull it apart, you'll figure it out in no time.
