OK, I got these doors from a buddy of mine and I think they are like 1981 doors or something... I was pulling the lock mechanism out of my 92 doors to install and come to find out the holes are totally different.. Anybody have an idea where to get new lock mechanism or maybe somebody has some..


HERE IS THE BOLT PATTERN I NEED, I CHECKED MY OLDER 81 DODGE AND IT IS THE SAME,


HERE IS MY NEW OLD DOORS THAT TAKE A DIFFERENT LOCK, YOU CAN EASILY TELL THE DIFFERENCE, I REALLY CAN'T JUST DRILL NEW HOLES EITHER BECAUSE, ONE HOLE WOULD KINDA SPLIT THE OTHER IF YOU GET MY DRIFT..

 

Try your local wrecking yard first Dodge has them but hold your short's when you walk in the door and dont bend over in front of em .I believe the last 1 I bought cost me like 85 buck's

 

wrecking yard is the best bet, the one near me charged me $10-15 bucks for a power one, which dodge wanted $111

 

Problem is I don't even no what year to look for, not to many yards will have anything if it is pre 1980... I'm sol

 

I know some of the 80's crewcabs had that latch
