Those top-of-dash tachs weren't factory, they were a dealer-installed option. If the truck didn't come with a crank sensor, you could get one with the tach. (If I remember right. That was a long time ago.)

I was interested in buying a tach from ISSPRO but they was kind of costly for my budget. So I got to thinking and I was woundering if it was possible to make your own harness that goes from the plug to the tach.
