I have 2 trucks,2000 ram 2500 reg. cab long bed, 4x4 5.9 w/auto, 100,000 mi. ex-farm truck,I want to take the bed, cab and doghouse off a 2003 ram 1500 rwd, put these parts on the farm truck, the fact the 03 has a longer wheel base is scary enough,but the 03 is rust free. And this was all practically free. Any thoughts, thanks for any help.

 

Sorry unless it's built like a brick can't help with what fits what but the 2nd and 3rd gen guys can probably be some help.

 

That's not a really good swap, you would be better to find a 2001 back 1500 for the swap.

2002 changed the 1/2 ton to the 3rd gen style, the 3/4 ton started in 03 for the third gen.

I would say a very difficult swap if at all feasible.

 

The more I read I think I really need to look at 1st gen. Thanks for help.
