Thanks

Its actaully a Dana 70 and it is my 3rd one that I have had. That is why I am going with the Dana 80.

94 and up had Dana 80's if they had a manual transmission the auto's still had the Dana 70. This was all the way up to the Third Gens, they have something different.

It's kinda funny that the "weak" Getrag can transmit enough power to break 3 Dana 70's.

Yeah hopefully after the dana 80 swap it will be the last rearend to go in it. I am supprized no one else has had as many problems as I have had with the rearend???? The Getrag is like the Energizer Bunny it just keeps going and going.

Well my mechanic and I went out to get the wrecked pickup. Guess what its a 98 12 valve 5sp with a 215 pump with only 80k. Looks like the old girl might get a heart transplant

Naw I am just pulling your legs . Who needs a P-Pump to make power I sure dont. I am not even sure what this new pump is capable of doing yet. I have 1050 miles on it and I finally put the skinny petal to the floor. Oh lordy look out I think 700hp is in the near future. Its not even maxed out yet and it allready is hitting 60+ pounds of boost. My last KTA pump would max out at 65#'s of boost. Not that is an indicator of bow much power it has, but it felt real good. We will just have to wait and see when I get it to the dyno.

Well I am going to use the Dana 80 and I am going to steal the seats out of it. There in real good shape except the drivers seat it has some bad spots. I am going to take it in and see how much it would cost to have it redone. The only problem is there leather$$$$

I will keep everone posted on how everything turns out.

Come on Stomp...you're gonna have to do better than that. I was playing with the new pump yesterday and she's running nice. Broke the boost gauge on a full throttle run...it was just past 60 psi and climbing. Nowhere near 700hp or even 600 for that matter, but I have sure missed driving this beast. We need to talk in the next few days....

I told you it was detuned right????? I just ordered a Track Loc/bearing kit/Mag-Hytec for the Dana 80 so it will be a little while before I can get it in. I also found out some info on the injectors that I was having honed out. It looks like they will not be able to go as big as I wanted/needed. They would be too small for me unless I wanted to go for mileage instead of HP . Don’t know what I am going to do?????

Give me a call whenever you get a chance.

How to know when you're making serious power: your dana70 becomes the 'weak' link in your driveline

You big # guys give us all something to look up to--thank you for your relentless pursuit of part-breaking horsepower

That sucks about the injectors I don't know what you have going, or who your working with, But have you talked to John @ Budda?

Yea.. Cody's truck only went 2 1/2 miles in 4 1/2 months... (and one mile was in neutral behind a 24V... LOL.. ) but it was a good 1 1/2.. Good to see it going down the road again...

Cody.. I think the pump still has a little more in it....

The Dana 80 should hold. Rockwells I hope I never have to go to them I dont want to put on 44" tires just to go 65MPH.

I have not talked to John yet. I have heard great things about him though. If I get some time tomorrow I might give him a call and run some things by him.

I dont think my mechanic is going to part out the 98, but you never know if he does I will give you a heads up.

I also have a set of 46" tires so you can offset the 6.72's

Keep me in mind for that 98

Thanks

If you can pry the specs out of kta , you can have just about any pump shop build you a good set .
