Stock Injectors

Anybody know what type of injector Cummins might have (That are one step up from stock) that will gain in all areas, yet not too smokey? I have the IV turbo and would like to use it up near its potential. I would like to walk in and order a set over the counter using part numbers. Otherwise I’ll most likely buy the ones they have which run stock on my truck. They are not that smokey and give me good mileage, but is there something better?. Cummins has some injectors for about 85 dollars each, they are the ones that Cummins recommended or say are on my truck if stock.

I got the 190's and not real impressed with them, I would get a larger injector than you think you want and then just turn your pump down to where you like the power/smoke/etc. just not P.O.D's

Thats a good idea! Thanks.

Htt said they have a set of bosch that I'm about to look more into. I told them the same as above. Much cheaper too.

I just talked to Ross at Dynomite Diesel (866-7743960) he quoted me $1000.00 for a brand new set, not rebuilt or re-manufactured, but brand spanking new. I don't know if this is a good price or not. I've been watching the stickys and apparently a good rebuilt set will run you $800.00 or so.

According to those Dynamite Diesel guys, the first gen injectors are only going to get more and more expensive as more of our cores get aged to the point of unusability. At least if you have brand new ones, they might be worth more (or even accepted) as cores later on.
