Steering Shaft
20 year aircraft mechanic, im not scared lol I'll gettem out. Any advice or "hey watch out make sure you do this before you end up effing it all up" for the replacement? Also, I dont have a picture hand atm, but there is like a silicon seal on the input shaft side of my steering box where the bottom of this shaft connects that is all blown out. I cant seem to find anything online that looks like it or even the proper term for it. I dont know that it is even an issue other than losing a little bit of fluid. Wondering if it is possible to fix just that, or if it is even worth it, while I have the shaft out so I dont have to take it out again later to do the seal.
