knock on wood, no.

Are you getting the bolts good and tight? Are they ever loose when you go to take it appart?

Did you check to make sure the front crosmember hasn't cracked away from the frame rail? Could make things flex and pop the plate. I think someone else on here had that problem.

I did weld one up once. but for the price of a new one, I just went ahead and changed it out.I have also thought about making one that is not stamped out so it would be stronger. but there is a lot of angles to machine. so far the bolts have been tight and I havent noticed any problems with the frame rails. I think the problem mostly comes from all the logging roads that we travel while hunting.

I just replaced the steering gearbox Tuesday. Boy, what a job that turned into, but that is another thread. I haven't experienced what you discribed yet, but I have only owned this truck since June. What I did learn while changing the box is, the bottom bolt is a body bound bolt. I don't know for sure why but I'll bet it has something to do with location and flexing. Second the bolts holding the mount to the frame require 150 ft lbs. torque. Hope this helps.

I welded the bracket to the frame and then pulled a bead along the front cross piece. Haven't had a problem since.
