Can you install the bottom stabilizer that many are using? I am using the BD support.

That works with the bracket. Dodge used them as a fix for the cracking frames from flexing.

Jungle makes a lot of great stuff for 1st gens.
Unless he has something new, steering brackets themselves, are not an item he offers.
Frame boxing plate steel [inside the frame rail] options for behind the steering box bracket, sure he has that.
You would still need a good steering box bracket though.

No you don't. It replaces the bracket a new you bolt direct. It does require a ton of work.
I bought the kit but have not installed it.

yep, his kit allows you to mount straight to the frame. eliminates that crack-prone bracket.

edit: i like the idea of bracing across to the other frame rail. never looked into doing it. i just made a plate from 3/8" steel to go on the backside of the frame rail. basically acts as a huge washer. it's been on there for 2 years and seems to have helped.

If the bracket isn't cracked too badly you should consider drilling/grooving the cracks and welding it up to keep for a spare.

Not sure how long that would work here in the rust hole. Water / salt would get in between that plate and start rusting it out.

Great idea, though. Any detailed photos of how you went about that ?

ya, don't really have to worry about that down here. but i could see the dilemma.

this is the only other picture i took. i just made a cardboard template first to make sure it fit inside the frame rail and then cut it from 3/8" plate. could only get the front 2 holes of the plate as there is a hump in the frame between the middle and the rear most hole. figured it was better than factory.

Hard to beat the dodge connection (or JY) steering brace that connects to the crossmember.
