steering box

Hey all, New to this site but not new to first gen Dodge/Cummins. I have a question about the steering box. Are new boxes still made for these trucks or am I stuck with rebuilds?? I have had 3 Napa's and two AGRs all of them except the one I have now pooped the bed. The AGR I have now is so sloppy I can't stand it anymore. I know about the ajustment but... have been told by a few not to do it for fear of wrecking the box.

I may just try it but still was wondering is there any alternative out there!

Yes it's been checked by me sevral times and at inspection. I grease the front often and keep up on any issues there. It's the box for sure and it's been about a year or more like this, it's driving me nuts!

The steering gear is a Saginaw and Mopar seems to still have them (part number is 5200 7280 for the 1991 to 1993 trucks).

Although I have no direct experience, a guy in Seattle (Harvey Foster at www.redheadsteeringgears.com) has been highly recommended by others on this forum.

You've checked your rag joint right? I hear that a sloppy one can wear out the seals on the input and possibly the bearings if I remember correct.
