Starting Trouble
Start run solenoid hooked up? Could be idle is set too low to start and or fuel screw not in far enough causing looow idle/not enough fuel to start. Two things to try if one of these were the case, try starting with your foot on the throttle to the floor. If that don't do it, try turning the fuel screw in a turn, then try starting again.
Did you ever figure out how to install it correctly? Didn't do like Swank and just tighten the nut over the key and damage it? Air in lines, key not lined up or maybe not enough start fuel.
