???I just had my lifter pump replaced 3 days ago by the dealer. Last night I went up the mountain and turn it off came back and It wouldn't start. After about 4 attempts it started but, I have never had any problems starting before. Also my check engine light came on to boot....Any ideas what the cause might be????????

 

It could be a lot of things but since your lift pump was out, I hate to say this but it could have taken out your injection pump.

 

Using the principle of simple things first, check for a very small air leak...something like a line that is not really tight.
The lines may be sucking air when the engine cools.

If the check engine light came on then a code has been set.

Turn the key on 3 times. Leave it on the third time. Codes should be dispalyed in the odometer window.
