Stan's Headers Exhaust

Hey guys...I am looking at a new exhaust system as mine has bit the dust. I was talking to a fellow member about the Diamond Eye system and he said it is pretty good but if you have a stock lift on the truck the down pipe gets too close to the front differential for comfort.

Can anyone with a Stan's System take a picture of the clearance around the front differential. How did you like the fit of the system? Any responses would be greatly appreciated...Thanks!!

Shayne

No pics, but I've had stans on for almost a year with no problems. The key with any bolt in exhaust is to mock it up and only tighten things up starting at the turbo and working your way back. Its good to use bungee cords, wire or 2x4 blocks to hold the wigly tubes in place, but it'll go in right.
Only bad thing about my stans is the clamps rusted real bad real quick. But by now there's so much carbon and road grit that the pipes might as well be welded.
Stans will claim that useing their muffler gets you better flow, it does but it robs you of what a straight piped 12V should sound like. My truck is loud, and I wouldn't have a cummins any other way!

not much to add, #2isgreen pretty much covered it all. I've had mine for 3+ years and would recommend it if you asked me.

Was this on stock height trucks or did you have lifts?

I believe the issue with clearance is how close it is to the front driveshaft universal. Mine is darn close with my Sourceautomotive DP on my dually. I hear its close on all of them, you just have to mock it up right like said already. I had to adjust mine cause it was touching, but it's fine now.

Can't really speak for Stans stock type down pipe but they did the work on my truck in there shop and they did a great job keeping the pipe high and out of the way of anything it could come in contact with..

This is a custom down pipe!!! Stans made this in there shop.

Stan is a very nice guy and a straight shooter. His custom work is not cheep but the off the shelf mass produced stuff is very well priced. He has a great reputation locally with all. Some of the pictures in his office of his work from past years would leave you speechless. He is a artist at what he makes.

I used his stuff years ago when I had corvette and cameo Barracuda lol and a few other cars. I used to live in Mission BC when i was younger and my relative was a huge fan of his work, He would drive over a lot to get stuff done , It just carried over to me to . Just wish I had bought from him before his last price hike

EDIT: hey how about a engine bay shot of the Bling
