spindle nut
I recommend against buying another of those problematic ny-lock spindle-nuts.
The good old-timey much superior double-nut/folding-tab-washer system is way better and will outlast the truck and two more.
THIS is the good stuff :

If you are lucky, you can find it all for cheap from any old Dana-60 or -70 on 1960s to mid-80s Dodge and Ford 3/4 and 1-tons at the junk-yard.

Any parts store has both the nylock and the dbl. nut and washer. I cannot believe they wouldn't know that. NEXT... Time for a new parts store.
Rockauto.com has the dbl nut and washers for under $50

I could write a book on what i've been told at Autozone. Basically if it's not in their computer it either doesn't exist or a dealer item only. I just love the "deer in the headlight" looks I get from some of the guys working there. If you really knowingly want to mess with them go in and ask for 1963 Ford sparkplug bearings for a 292 engine "they will look them up on the computer". Yea i'm deviously mean sometimes lol. BearKiller is right on the tab style nut locker, they will be there when your grandkids are scouring the junk yard. Good luck.

It's not so much the nylock set-up, as it is the fact that the big nut is made of a very soft steel, thus the bearing soon grooves the back-side of the nut, loosening the adjustment and soon ruining the nut.
The old style double-nuts/tab-washer, on the other hand, are extremely hard metal and I have NEVER seen one worn by the bearing.
After a few thousand miles, check your hubs for wobble (axles removed), then remove that nice new nylock nut and examine the side against the bearing; it will be grooved out and ready for the junk box.
I have been meaning to search out a suitable hard steel washer to install between the soft nylock nut and bearing, but as of yet haven't found just what I am looking for.
Of the seven trucks out here and several trailers with Dana hubs/spindles, about half have the good stuff and the rest have the nylock junk.
