Speedometer

Bought a 92 ctd yesterday, the speedometer does not work. anybody no where i shoud start, checked the fuses already, all good.. anyone else had this problem...Thanks

5spd or auto, 2wd or 4wd?

It is most likely the VSS, but we will need to know the above information about your truck to tell you where the VSS is located.

Its the vehicle speed sensor, it comes off the transmission iirc...

Does the truck charge the batteries when it's running?

i believe in the 4wd trucks, it's located in the transfer case.
