I've heard the stories of replacement front end parts, ball joints, tie rod ends and such that don't even last 20K miles. So considering the originals last about 200K I'd like to purchase that kind of durability again. What has been your experience?

I hate to say it, but I think it is a crap shoot even with name brand parts.

I am a MOOG man, been using them for 40 years....... but some of the stories I have heard and seen leads me to question even them.

I have personally never had a bad MOOG part, but then I am getting old and don't work on them every day like I used to.

I agree with MOOG. Never had an issue with their parts.

The tire and front end shop I have used for 30 years won't put in anything but Moog unless it's warranted, for instance the vehicle is so near end of life it just isn't worth the money.

The only failure I've had wasn't the part's fault. Top ball blew out of the screw in Dodge top A frame. Made it home while askew. Put in a new grease boot and welded it down to the A with short arc. Went to the bone yard with the van when I wore it out. Tire shop checked the alignment with no charge.
