I've got the 89 CTD. Lately, I have noticed that the first to second gear transition is slower than it was when I first got it. I've only had the truck 9 months. It doesn't want to shift out of first to second unless there is a lot of throttle. If I'm putting along in my yard...it hesitated to come out of first and then eventually stays there. I can hear that it doesn't change out.

Suggestions?

 

sounds like the TV cables need adjustment. there is a write up in the sticky on how to adjust them.

 

Yeah that really sounds like the tv cable needs adjusted.
