Unhappy trans not shifting to od, slow take off when cold!

I've got a '95 2500 4x4 auto that wont shift to over drive. I noticed slow take-offs the other day, a few real hard shifts, and now my fluid smells burt. Any help would be great. thanks

Yeah, i know there's no help for me now. Took my truck down to ATS to have them take a look, and sounds like I'm buying a new stage IV kit. Well i guess i'll just have to live with it
