Slide Pin in AFC Will not push out.

Guys,
I went to install my DB fuel pin and found out the slide pin in the AFC will not push out. I have no idea how long it has been like this. What do I need to do to fix this?

Thanks

What do you mean by will not push out? To the front or rear of the pump?

With the fuel pin out looking down the AFC, the pin will not slide out to the rear of the truck when the throttle linkage is opened.

Thanks

No movement that I can tell. The truck has been running just fine with no problems.

Is there a noticeable "wear" mark along the profile of the stock fuel pin?

The stock fuel pin has a slight mark on it.

One thing you could try would be to swap the diaphragm over to the new fuel pin, grease the faced/profile of the pin and place it into the AFC. Then, with the throttle lever pulled back (full throttle), push the fuel pin all the way down with your hand a couple times, release, then release the throttle. Remove the pin and see if the guide pin leaves a mark.

Maybe the widest part the fuel pin will work the pin forward and loosen it up some. Try that and report the outcome.

Thanks I will give that a shot. Just thinking ahead. What are my options if that don't work?

Thanks.
