Hey, do you guys have any tips on how to get out the shut down selonoid. What tools will help with the job?

Good Luck, also if you do need a new one, get it from Volkswagon, much cheaper

To get it out you need a big open end wrench, 23 mm or so. There's a bracket in the way, so cut that off with a hacksaw or a Dremel. The part of the bracket that's in your way is not holding anything. Once you cut the bracket it's a 2 minute job.
