Shocks for a two wheel drive

What kind of shocks are good to put on a two wheel drive truck.
Any thoughts on brands or styles that are better than others for different driving styles.

On all Mopar front ends I have always run KYB's. They last forever. I put some on in the 80's. There were still tight when I sold the car in 2005. I've had a few examples like that. Got them off of Amazon a couple weeks ago for the 93 CTD I picked up. Saved a mint.
