Shocks

Can gas charged shocks be bad and still expand strongly when you take them off? My truck feels like it has bad shocks but when I pulled loose the bottom from the shock mount on a couple of them they pushed right out.

Anyone have a favorite shock with a good price/location to get them?

Yes a shock can still expand and be bad. A shock can wear out and still maintian all of its nitrogen pressure which is what makes the shock extend. I have found that shocks do little on trucks with stiffs springs such as a gen 1. But i would guess any decent gas shock from a known manufacurer would work just fine.
