Re:service manual

I have a '92 shop manual that I bought on-line from Daimler Chrysler. It was the oldest year they had available, and is model year specific. There are a couple of electrical system changes (my truck is a '91) for which I have had to refer to alldata's on-line manuals for, but otherwise it is about as useful as your average shop manual. It does NOT cover the GETRAG, just tells you to buy a new one. I do not recall a parts book being available.

Re:service manual

Does the manual tell you how to remove and replace the getrag? I am getting ready to pull mine, and I would like a manual to follow along!

Re:service manual

The manual covers removal/installation of the Getrag but little else.

Re:service manual

My 93 manual covers pretty much everything including the manual and auto tranny install/removal, servicing/diagnosing/rebuilding.
It does NOT have any info worth a spit on the VE pump internals, or how it works in detail. It does have some general pics and 'what this does' though.
I have pages and pages of electrical issues, wiring, splices, colour codes, etc.
Generally I find it an excellent manual.
It also convers the NP205 and NP204 Tcase and its' internals,
"how to" etc.

It is labelled:
Service Manual, D&W 150-350 Ramcharger, Rear Wheel Drive Truck.
The number on the back cover is: 81-370-3108
(Yes it has 4X4 info too, that is what the "W" stands for...
Bob.

Re:service manual

i dont think you want to order gears or bearings from your *******. shop around for dana or spicer gears. probably cut price in half. been in the business for 41 years never buy diff parts from ******* unless only place to get them.
