s200 installed

The s200 (s2bg to be exact) finally found its way onto the truck. So far I like it. Made a spring type gate actuator for it and its putting out 35psi right now with more adjustment available. Specs are 60/60/14, with a nice 10 blade turbine. Truck feels much more "open", like its breathing well. Spools a little bit slower than the hx35 that it replaced, but not bad at all. The 35 will find its way into a set of twins eventaully, they are great little turbos after all.

Some modifications were needed to make it all fit. Welded on a 4"inlet as the factory inlet was 4.5", an aluminum 90* for the outlet which was a straight slip fit, new 4" outlet to avoid using the marmon flange and save space, and a new flange on the down pipe. I also removed the factory wastegate cover and ported the gate and welded the cover shut after modifying it for more gate travel. This is a CAT turbine housing as well.

That's the best part, the charger was free along with the 14cm housing, also have a 12cm for it. The v band flanges, clamp, and aluminium 90 ran me around $90,plus my time.

Looks real good. Might be another option for less than highly modded trucks. My tow rig could use something like this!

I'd say you could squeeze some good power out of it. I think it would do 350~400 (MAYBE) but not confident it would cool all that well at that level. Also, this is a non ett compressor, I do have a sweet 58mm ett compressor in the garage ( out of an s200 as well) and another turbine wheel if I ever wanted to build another. I have found the 58 ett/60/14 charger rebuilt on ebay for $500, off a CAT. They are commonly overlooked in favor of the "superior" s300g.

That look like a good turbo for someone who doesn't want to run a air-air rad. (Me)

What applications do they come on?
