I have a 93 d 350 le and the cruise doesn't work. Any suggestions for a fix? Thanks in advance

Yes the horn does work

Does the speedometer work?

 

Brk pedal yes and speedo and odometer no

 

You have to fix the speedo for the cruise to work. Check the plug on the trans for the vss. Clean the connection really good and once the speedo works then you can trouble shoot the cruise. If the computer don't see a signal from the vss it don't know how fast you are going to start with.

 

I've replaced the vss and still didn't work. I think it's the internal gears. But I have a garmin that tells the speed so I haven't gone any farther with it. Plus I've heard it's pretty pricy

 

Until the speedo is fixed the cruise will not work.

 

IF it's the speedo gear (which I doubt) they can be had at junk yards or a $17 at mancini racing maybe a few bucks more at the dealership.
