Rust on injector?

One of my injectors I pulled (#6) had rust on the outside. Does this mean I have an antifreeze leak?

Is the #6 injector the second one from the bottom? It's a little hard to see in the pic.

Injectors are 1-6 from top to bottom so #6 is the bottom one. doesn't look red anymore because my greasy fingers fixed that but when I first pulled it it was red with rust everywhere you see the surface is roughened.

I would check your oil or coolant. From what I see I wouldn't worry about it. Those hold down nuts tend to let moisture in.

Most used injectors have some rust pitting on the barrel. Atmosphere, road salt, etc. gets past the hold down nut pretty easily. Not a problem unless severe, as in leaking through the rust.

Rust on the tip, however, could be trouble.

It's hard to answer your question when you wipe the evidence off then post pictures.

If it was coolant (especially in the injector area) you would be smoking all over the place even at idle
