Rubber Tailgate Strap Locator

Does anyone have a source to buy the little rubber locators for the tail gate straps? I've searched every where I could think of, and have come up empty. Any help or ideas would be great. Thanks

You'll play he !! finding them on anything but a pretty pristine 1'st gen. You won't find that in a junk yard.

When I bought my truck it had no rust on it, and probably didn't have the stock tailgate on it for most of it's life. It was used to tow an RV. The rubber parts are still wacked.

Let's keep looking.

I checked just about a month ago for some 'cause the bed I bought was missing one. None available and discontinued as well. Not even pivot bushings were available.

Would you have any idea what the part number is?

I found all mine in the local pick-n-pull. But that was a couple years ago now. Never really think to look for those when I'm junk yarding it. That will go on my grab list.

They're hard to find in the junkyard.

I think you could make a mold and make them out of silicone rubber.
Not hard to do.
Come to think of it could you cut it out of thick rubber on the band saw

The molded silicone is doable, but a lot of work. There's a hollow core in the arrowhead inserts that would make it nigh unto impossible to make from a sheet of rubber.

If I can find the original owner of the die, and have them squirt me a few sticks of it, I could make a lifetime supply for us all with a band saw.
