have the east coast roof rot on my 89.you can see the three layers of sheet metel in the roof everyone talks about in the first picture.cut a piece out of an old club cab roof to repair roof and drip rail.seems like the old style roofs don't rust like the newer type.ready to weld in.
Nice work.
Looks like something I'll have to accomplish as well in the future. Thanks for the pix. Really explains the process from a perspective that makes it easier to understand.

I doubt the WD does any good as it dries up quickly. The only use I ever had for WD was using it as a flamethrower(wasp & bees) or starting diesels. Now it is not even good for that because they changed the formula.

sortie,i sure would like to know that also.seems like the old style roofs(like the club cab used)don't seem to rust like the first gen roofs.the older style roof seem to be welded a little different at the drip rail.i also noticed the roofs are always rotted more on the passenger side.could this because the driver door gets opened more and causes more ventilation to flow on the drivers side?
shop broke my windshield re-installing it and of course Chrysler discontinued the glass years ago so we’re waiting for Safelite to order their version of the replacement and install it tomorrow. tried to post pics from my phone to no avail
