Does any body know wear to get new gears for my Dana 70 in 3.07 ratio?
I have a 89 auto,4+4 w250, as far as I can tell nobody sells them any more.

You have to find a used replacement. The few I saw on some salvage web sights were only a hair cheaper than a new one and were in the 100, 000 mile range. See if you can find a junker locally and swap axles, you can then over haul the seals if needed. I saw a set on E-bay once, but you need the carrier too if yours isn't useable.

I found one in a Colorado junk yard, only $1250 delivered and 30 warranty.

I bought my 1990 W250 for 600.00 dollars because it had blown 3.07 rear . I looked around for awhile but couldent find one for under 1500.00 dollars! I could not belive my luck when I found one at a local junk yard I was there looking for parts for my diesel volkswagon when Isaw a Dodge truck with no motor upon further inspection I saw a large exhuast pipe! Ran the VIN # BINGO 3.07 rear!! I asked the guy in thye yard how much 150.00 dollars. I got fabric burn from pulling the money out of my pocket so fast!!!! SO when you go to the wreckers check thoes 2wd Dodges. John

 

Dana quit offering it to everybody in '97. Might get lucky and find a set in storage in a barn somewhere, next to the cherry, 25,000 mile, Hemi Daytona the farmer is hanging on too as the mice make it a home.

Well here we go, I just got another truck!! A 98, 2500, 12 valve, long bed 4 door, ats 4seed.with split ratio 3 locker, 4" ss ex, pac brake, rancho air ajustabl, air bags, class 5, mt wheels,270 hp plates,ajustable gas plate,ats exaust header, for 16000.00 With 12500 miles

 

You practically stole that truck! Good find.
