redneck body work
redneck body work
I have to take my truck up to my inlaws place next month to get my utility trailer and a bunch of my parts for my 1973 crewcab restoration/conversion. I figured the D250 would handle the load better than my little F150 would, but if you've seen the pics it took a hard hit in the passenger side before I bought it. The passenger headlight didn't even point straight ahead. So to keep from having in run ins with so of the local edit in the little town my inlaws live in I decided to do some redneck body straightening. I parked the truck in front of one of my pine trees and hooked a comealong to it and the tree and pulled a little here and there til it looked much better. Now the headlight as least points straight ahead more than before. It's not perfect, but it's better.
I had a sweet 93 4x4 that had 2 dents. The front bumper was a little sprung and the guy was nudging it up to a post to fix it. He got out to inspect and the truck rolled back into a post and put a sharp V in the top of the tailgate, which was down.......................Not a single other flaw!

I know, it was pretty beat up. One of the rules was that it had to be driven and this is only going to be driven for that one day and then I'll begin stripping it for the donor.
ya ive done some of my own body work like that. i got t-boned in the driver side and i hooked a come-along and pulled it out sum. and then i had to put a jack under the body to push the cab back up and it fixed it for the most part.
