recieved fuel pin, now have a spring ?

Hello, I just recieved my fuel pin from jegs and was a little suprised to see that it didnt contain the spring and washer. Now I know why the jegs pin was only $124.00. Since my truck is a 93 with the stiffer (green and red) spring do you think I should order a spring from a 92 or so to get the lighter spring? How much difference would this make and would it be worth the extra money? Also the same for the washer, is it worth chasing down a thinner washer or should I just try to cut this one down? Thanks in advance

Just shave the washer. Grease the fuel pin (so you can see how far it travels) and back off the star wheel until you can get full travel with your spring.

Thanks wanna, do you think its worth getting the lighter spring? In the smokey pin article in the tech section it sounds like the power comes in quite a bit sooner with the silver spring. But I dont even know where to begin to look for a new spring. Thanks again

Backing off your star wheel will give a similar effect.

Does the Jegs' pin have a similar-identical profile to the ole smokey?

I have never seen the Old Smokey pin but I was told it was a knock off of the Smokey one. By the way the jegs pin is the Bully Dog pin. LATER
